Bad news - we no longer can access Uganda coffee. Uganda was one of the components in my Afrika Blend. But, in its place I now offer my Moka Java Blend. It is very similar to Afrika and makes a great substitute!

Orca has been steadily growing recently. With the discovery of our coffee by new customers, contract roasting and community-wide fund raisers, Orca has been churning out quite a bit of coffee. All of this accomplished by word-of-mouth as our only marketing tool! Thanks Orca Bay customers! We will continue to provide truely great classic coffees with the crafted care you expect.

Some of you have noticed a small bump in some of our prices. Over the last few months green coffee bean prices have increased about 40%. The increase in fuel costs for transportation and propane for the roaster have had an effect as well. My packaging supplier has also increased prices 8 % for their goods. This all creates a little stress for a new company and we will try to absorb as much as we can. We still have some of the best prices for specialty grade craft-roasted coffee.

We just added a new decaf. This is a Royal Water Process decaf. By far, this process retains all the aroma and flavors the 'other' water process leaves behind. Since I only want to carry one decaffeinated coffee, this is the one for now. I am starting to salivate just thinking about it! I am signing off to go make a pot.
